Scraps: The Gorgon’s Head

Scraps: The Gorgon’s Head

The stone man stares at me, and I know he wants me to be like him. He wants me to be stone, too. His eyes don’t frighten me, though. They are confused eyes. They are eyes that don’t understand flesh. I’m better than him: I understand stone.

(Stumbled upon this in my notes from the Roman Baths in Bath, UK, and I thought I’d share.)
